- Prepare and manage import/export documents such as invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, export laws, and import restrictions.
- Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agents) and freight forwarders for clearance.
- Arrange and track international shipments by sea, air, or land.
- Negotiate freight rates and ensure timely booking of cargo.
- Monitor shipment schedules and update clients/customers on delivery status.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers, buyers, and agents regarding orders and shipments.
- Handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain strong business relationships with clients.
- Act as the point of contact between the company and international customers.
- Coordinate with banks for LC (Letter of Credit), remittances, and export incentives.
- Verify accuracy of financial documents related to shipments.
- Ensure timely payment follow-ups with international buyers.
- Work closely with accounts, logistics, and production teams to align supply chain operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all import-export transactions.
- Support management in preparing reports and MIS related to shipments and trade.
- Stay updated with changes in import-export policies, EXIM laws, and international trade trends.
- Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and logistics efficiency.
