Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Imports Specialist to manage and streamline the import operations for Al Haadi Mobilya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all import-related documentation, supplier coordination, shipment tracking, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills to ensure timely and cost-effective import processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the entire import process, from order placement to delivery at the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
  • Prepare, verify, and process import documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure compliance with Pakistan Customs regulations and all relevant import/export laws.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or documentation discrepancies.
  • Negotiate freight rates and coordinate logistics for optimal cost efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and ensure proper filing for audit purposes.
  • Liaise with internal departments (procurement, accounts, and warehouse) to align on inventory and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor import costs and prepare periodic reports for management on shipment status, landed costs, and supplier performance.
  • Stay updated on changes in import policies, customs duties, and trade regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in import operations, preferably within the furniture, retail, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of import documentation, HS codes, customs clearance, and trade compliance.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (knowledge of SAP or similar software is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
