Location: Doha, Qatar (Candidates must be locally available with valid QID and transferable visa/NOC)
Contract Type: Full-Time (Contract)

To strengthen our SHES (Safety, Health, Environment & Security) team, we are seeking a highly skilled Incident Investigation Coordinator to lead incident reporting, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement of safety performance across project sites.

Role Overview

The Incident Investigation Coordinator will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of incident investigations, ensuring compliance with Qatargas EPC‑3 SHES Critical Position requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise in root‑cause analysis, SHES standards, and incident prevention strategies. The candidate will work closely with HSE teams, client representatives, and project leadership to ensure accurate reporting and effective corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate investigations of incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and property damage cases.
  • Conduct root‑cause analyses using recognized methodologies (TapRooT, 5‑Why, Fault Tree Analysis, etc.).
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports, corrective action plans, and follow‑up verification.
  • Ensure compliance with Qatargas SHES requirements and local regulatory standards.
  • Maintain incident logs, trending data, and performance dashboards.
  • Support safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments from an investigation standpoint.
  • Facilitate lessons‑learned workshops and contribute to SHES improvement programs.
  • Liaise with client representatives and project management regarding incident updates.
  • Provide coaching to site teams to improve reporting culture and investigation quality.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: SHES‑related NVQ Level 5, Postgraduate Diploma, or Postgraduate Degree (mandatory as per EPC‑3 SHES Critical Positions requirements).
  • Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in incident investigation, SHES coordination, or HSE supervisory roles within the Oil & Gas industry (Qatar/GCC preferred).
  • Certifications:
  • NEBOSH IGC or NEBOSH Diploma (preferred)
  • Incident investigation training (TapRooT, RCA, or equivalent)
  • First Aid/CPR (added advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of incident classification, reporting protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Attributes: Detail‑oriented, proactive, investigative mindset, with strong coordination capabilities.
