Job Description: SHES Supervisor (Oil & Gas Sector)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SHES Supervisor to oversee Safety, Health, Environment & Security (SHES) activities at our project site in Qatar. The role is site-based and responsible for ensuring strict compliance with company policies, client requirements, and local regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor SHES policies, procedures, and safe work practices at site
- Conduct daily site inspections, safety walks, and toolbox talks
- Supervise high-risk activities including lifting operations, hot work, working at height, confined space entry, and SIMOPS
- Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) systems
- Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and enforce control measures
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and corrective actions
- Monitor occupational health risks such as heat stress, noise, and hazardous substances
- Ensure compliance with environmental management plans and waste management procedures
- Coordinate with security teams for site access control and emergency response
- Maintain SHES records, logs, and reports; support audits and inspections
- Deliver site safety inductions and SHES awareness training
Requirements
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE qualification (mandatory)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5–8 years of SHES/HSE experience in oil & gas, EPC, or construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of PTW, LOTO, risk assessments, and incident investigation
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Experience working in multicultural, site-based environments
