Role Overview

Responsible for fully managing the Individual Segment and achieve profitable growth of the segment working across all distribution channels to deliver against AOP. The role will be responsible for defining and delivering the sales strategy specific to renewal retention and identifying appropriate growth initiatives to deliver against the segment ambitions locally. Proactive sales leadership and management driving & developing the necessary sales capability to successfully deliver against plan. Working with supporting functions specific to segment to ensure our pricing, proposition, marketing, claims and service enable planned results.

What you will do

  • Contributory owner of segment P&L locally with ultimate responsibility residing with the CEO - ownership for all segment business written by the Egypt team, contributing to the definition & execution of growth strategy

  • Sales leadership of Egypt segment team (renewals) ensuring necessary activities, learning interventions & support to enable a successful sales team

  • Contributes to a sales led approach to product, proposition & pricing for Egypt (key interface into supporting functions) to ensure retention results are maximised

  • Sales owner working in collaboration with marketing owner to drive/inform marketing activity & campaign management for segment retention and growth

  • Contribute to the identification of & delivery of initiatives to optimise portfolio performance of segment delivering or exceeding growth requirements. This includes extending partnerships with banks and other institutes that can contribute to growth initiatives

  • Relationship and client management for key connections across segment (Distributor & Client)

  • Pro-actively seek out new business and renewal opportunities through effective Pipeline management and existing customer contact strategies to ensure ongoing growth of segment in a targeted way to deliver profitable business to ensure business targets are achieved

  • Develop the skills and capabilities of those involved in Sales through coaching the team to ensure capability is optimised ensuring sales quality & efficient service delivered by our teams

  • Ensure that all sales activities are completed in a compliant way, ensuring that the relevant governing bodies' protocols are fulfilled

What you will bring

  • 7 years of experience in Sales in the health insurance market, or other financial services industries such as Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management

  • Previous experience in a service industry of handling large, blue chip accounts and selling at Senior/Board Level

  • Demonstrated track record in achieving new business targets, retention activities and continually demonstrating application in this key area

  • Leadership experience, has led sales teams through change and/or growth.

  • Business/commercial acumen on pricing/contract issues

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Skill and ability to adopt a ”consultative” approach to effect problem solving and to explore options which ensure potential within a client account is maximised for the benefit of Bupa Global

  • Fluent understanding of risk and pricing strategy

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes
