The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing efficient production processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensure optimal resource utilization. The role demands strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills to enhance manufacturing performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct time and motion studies to determine standard operating times and identify process bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement work measurement systems, line balancing, and production layouts for improved efficiency.
- Analyze and optimize manpower, material, and machine utilization to achieve production targets.
- Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing operations.
- Evaluate new machinery, tools, and equipment for process improvements.
- Monitor daily production performance and recommend corrective actions to maintain productivity levels.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports on productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction achievements for management review.
- Train line supervisors and operators on process optimization and best industrial practices.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and industrial engineering tools/software.
- Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Time Study, Work Study, Line Balancing, and Process Flow Mapping.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in industrial engineering within a textile, apparel, or manufacturing industry.
