Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote infant development across motor skills, language, socialization, and exploration.
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring overall comfort for infants throughout their daily routines.
- Observe and document each child's progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform personalized care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians by sharing updates on their child's growth and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively through positive behavior management strategies tailored to infants’ needs.
- Support team members by participating in ongoing training related to childhood development, first aid, special education needs, and working with children with disabilities.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with nurturing caregiving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members in a professional manner.
