Kinderbook Children's Center is looking for a nurturing, dependable Infant Teacher to join our team. We are a smaller, close-knit early childhood center that takes pride in a creating a positive, supportive environment for both children and staff. Our goal is to build a team where teachers feel valued, supported, and able to maintain a healthy balance between work and home life.

At Kinderbook, we believe that great classrooms start with great teachers. We work together as a team to create a warm, engaging environment where our youngest learners can grow, explore, and feel safe.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and compassionate care to infants, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day
  • Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills development, and early cognitive growth
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic classroom environment by following health and safety protocols at all times
  • Observe and document each child's developmental milestones, communicating progress to parents and team members regularly
  • Support positive behavior management strategies to encourage social-emotional development and cooperation
  • Follow daily routines that support feeding, sleeping, and developmental needs.
  • Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings, with classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to early years and infant care practices
  • Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, caregivers, and team members effectively
  • Ability to manage a classroom environment with patience, flexibility, and positive reinforcement techniques
  • Familiarity with behavior management strategies suitable for infants and toddlers

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
