Role Objective
The IT Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for IT assets and services. This includes everything from initial requisition and vendor selection through to purchase order creation and budget tracking, ensuring the organization receives maximum value for its IT spend.
Core Responsibilities

End-to-End Procurement:
Manage day-to-day IT procurement activities, including the creation of Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).

Strategic Sourcing:
Lead the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, evaluating vendor proposals and conducting commercial negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.

Budget & Financial Management:
Monitor and manage the IT budget, ensuring all purchases align with departmental financial goals and providing regular spend analysis.

Systems Management:
Utilize
Oracle ERP
to track procurement workflows, maintain vendor data, and ensure process compliance.

Analytics & Reporting:
Develop and maintain procurement reports; analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records of contracts, licenses, warranties, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Profile for Effectiveness (Requirements)

Technical Knowledge:
Strong foundational knowledge of IT Hardware (servers, laptops, peripherals), Software licensing, IT Services, and
Cloud Infrastructure (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS)

ERP Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with
Oracle ERP
systems is essential for managing the procurement workflow.

Analytical Skills:
High level of proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to track KPIs and budget variances.

Communication:
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with both external vendors and internal IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience specifically within IT procurement or strategic sourcing.
