Inside Sales Representative

Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing incoming sales inquiries, responding to customer calls and leads, and supporting the sales process from initial contact through closing. This role requires strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills, along with the ability to work closely with internal departments to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming sales leads and customer calls
  • Conduct follow-up communication with prospective and existing customers
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and consistent communication
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and other sales-related documentation as needed
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and other details within company guidelines
  • Close sales and support customers throughout the sales process
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and follow-up notes
  • Partner with internal departments, including operations, customer service, and billing, to create a positive customer experience
  • Address customer concerns and escalate issues as needed for timely resolution
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals and performance expectations
  • Stay informed on company products, services, and market trends

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous inside sales, customer service, or related experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

This position primarily works in an office environment and requires prolonged sitting, frequent telephone and computer use, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or carry items up to 10–15 pounds.
