Instructional Designer

Summary

Seeking a Trainer / Content Developer to support training implementation of Medicaid Transformation Project modules within a large case management system environment.

Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to analyze system functionality and develop classroom facilitator-led learning solutions and eLearning courses to support system implementation.

This position will work closely with Training Leads, Script Writers, Applications Leads, and Subject Matter Experts to understand requirements, design training materials, develop templates and scripts, and revise content for instructional delivery to adult learners.

The resource will also be responsible for providing effective and creative classroom and virtual facilitation of training for employees who oversee and administer social services programs managed through the system.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners
• 3+ years understanding social services programs administered at county, regional, and state levels
• 3+ years assisting with QA checks on training materials
• 3+ years collaborating with training developers, SMEs, and technical teams
• 3+ years business analysis experience
• 3+ years experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• 3+ years experience with LMS technologies (Moodle, XML, HTML)
• 3+ years experience designing and delivering computer-based training
• 3+ years experience with tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Visio, or similar
• 3+ years developing interactive instructional materials using simulations and media
• 3+ years delivering training in-person, virtually, and via webinar
• 3+ years evaluating student progress and providing curriculum feedback
• Experience preparing for and conducting classroom training (scheduling, registration, facility coordination)

Highly Desired

• Experience researching and evaluating case management software to translate functionality into training materials
• Basic application software and hardware support skills
• Strong understanding of internet concepts and web technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Medicaid program systems

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
