INTERIOR DESIGN DRAFTSMAN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Interior Design Draftsman to support our design and execution team by preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and detailed shop drawings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD and other drafting/design software, with a strong understanding of interior design principles, joinery details, and fit-out works.

Key responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with interior designers to understand project requirements and design objectives.

2. Create detailed technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, and sections using computer aided design (CAD) software.

3. Ensure drawings adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

4. Review and interpret architectural and interior design drawings to accurately develop ID drawings.

5. Coordinate with project team members to incorporate design changes and updates into drawings as needed.

6. Produce accurate material lists and specifications for construction purposes.

7. Communicate effectively with internal team members and external stakeholders to clarify project requirements and resolve design issues.

8. Assist with site visits and measurements to gather information for drawing development.

9. Maintain organized project files and documentation for reference and record-keeping purposes.

10. Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in ID drafting and design.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as an ID Draftsman / CAD Draftsman in an interior design or fit-out company.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).Knowledge of 3D visualization software (SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, etc.) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of joinery, materials, finishes, and detailing.Ability to read, interpret, and prepare architectural/interior drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Experience:

Minimum 2–5 years of drafting experience in interior design / fit-out projects.

Salary:

Based on experience and assessment evaluation by the Department Head / Design Head.
