Job Summary
The Interior Designer – F&B is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative interior concepts for restaurants, cafés, food halls, and hospitality venues under the group’s portfolio. The role ensures that all designs align with brand identity, operational efficiency, guest experience, and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Concept Development
- Develop interior design concepts for F&B venues (restaurants, cafés, food courts, food halls).
- Translate brand guidelines and business objectives into functional and aesthetically compelling spaces.
- Prepare concept boards, layouts, mood boards, and material palettes.
- Create space planning optimized for customer flow, kitchen operations, and service efficiency.
Technical & Documentation
- Produce detailed drawings (layouts, elevations, sections, details) suitable for execution.
- Coordinate with MEP, kitchen consultants, lighting designers, and contractors.
- Ensure designs comply with local authority regulations, health & safety, and F&B standards.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with operations, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure feasibility.
- Attend site visits, coordination meetings, and design reviews.
- Support projects from concept to handover, ensuring design intent is maintained.
- Review shop drawings, samples, mockups, and materials.
Brand & Innovation
- Maintain consistency across multiple brands while allowing creative differentiation.
- Stay updated on F&B design trends, materials, finishes, and customer experience innovations.
- Propose value engineering solutions without compromising design quality.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field
Experience
- 3–7+ years of experience in restaurant / hospitality / F&B interior design
- Experience working with hospitality groups, restaurant chains, or holding companies preferred
- Strong understanding of back-of-house (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH) requirements
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar (preferred)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong material and furniture specification knowledge
