Position Summary:

The Marketing Operations Intern will provide direct support to the SEO team within Weidner’s Corporate Marketing Department. The Marketing Operations Intern will assist with website optimization, performance tracking, and auditing content across Weidner’s property websites to ensure accuracy, consistency, and improved search visibility. This internship provides hands-on experience in search engine optimization, analytics reporting, and content management within a large-scale portfolio, helping to enhance Weidner’s online presence and marketing performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with a strong interest in SEO, digital marketing, and data-driven decision-making. A successful Marketing Operations Intern is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the SEO team with ongoing website audits, metadata reviews, and content updates to ensure accuracy across property websites
  • Assist with keyword research, trend analysis, and implementation of SEO best practices
  • Collect and organize data from Google Analytics and other SEO reporting tools to monitor website performance
  • Help create and maintain documentation for SEO processes, optimization templates, and reporting dashboards
  • Assist with standing up new websites, including conducting quality assurance (QA) checks for accuracy, functionality, and consistency
  • Audit community web pages for content accuracy, image quality, and brand consistency
  • Assist in updating community descriptions, amenities, and media as needed through the content management system (CMS)
  • Collaborate with team members to implement on-page optimizations that support organic visibility and lead generation goals
  • Organize image and video assets to ensure proper labeling and alignment with SEO and accessibility standards
  • Support the creation and distribution of SEO reports and presentations summarizing key performance indicators
  • Conduct competitive research to identify new opportunities for visibility and improved rankings
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and supporting documentation for ongoing projects
  • Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and adherence to Weidner’s Mission, Vision, and Values in all aspects of work
  • Actively participate in a positive team environment through teamwork, communication and excellence in service; communicate regularly with the Marketing Operations Manager
  • Actively demonstrates the values of the Weidner Customer Service Vision to team members, associates and external customers

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a 4-year accredited program with concentrations in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or similar program majors
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in SEO, content strategy, and website performance analytics
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proactive, dependable, and able to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new tools and techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
  • Experienced in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or CMS tools preferred

  • Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently
  • Ability to work outside of normal scheduled hours as needed
  • Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized
  • Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
  • A valid, unexpired driver’s license and vehicle insurance is preferred and must correspond to the country in which the associate will work
