Inventory Control | RMU & Overhead Switch Factory


Location: Second industry. Riyadh


Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead and control inventory operations for Ring Main Units (RMU), Overhead Switches, and medium-voltage electrical equipment .


The role ensures material availability, high inventory accuracy, team supervision , and full compliance with quality, safety, and ISO standards to support uninterrupted production.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Materials Control

  • Supervise inventory of raw materials including copper, aluminum, steel, insulation materials, switchgear components, CTs/VTs, bushings, fasteners, and packaging
  • Control WIP and finished goods inventory for RMUs and overhead switches
  • Ensure optimal stock levels aligned with production and project schedules
  • Enforce FIFO / FEFO and proper material segregation

Supervision & Team Leadership

  • Supervise storekeepers, inventory controllers, and warehouse staff
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor KPIs and SOP compliance
  • Train team on ERP systems, material handling, and safety procedures

Receiving, Storage & Issuing

  • Oversee receiving of materials against POs, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for electrical and mechanical components
  • Control material issuance based on BOMs and work orders

Systems, Reporting & Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP / MRP systems
  • Review stock aging, shortages, excess, and obsolete material reports
  • Achieve and maintain ≥98% inventory accuracy

Audits & Continuous Improvement

  • Plan and conduct cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Improve warehouse layout, storage methods, and material flow

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with production, planning, procurement, quality, and engineering teams
  • Support material planning for new RMU and overhead switch models
  • Manage inventory impact of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)

Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, IEC requirements, and EHS policies
  • Control non-conforming, rejected, and quarantined materials
  • Maintain traceability for critical components and finished equipment


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–8 years of inventory control experience in manufacturing or electrical equipment
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience with switchgear, RMU, or power distribution equipment is highly preferred
