Irrigation and Landscape Technician

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across landscapes
• Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and fertilizing lawns and plantings
• Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators to complete landscaping projects efficiently
• Conduct inspections of irrigation components and landscape features to identify issues early and implement solutions promptly
• Assist with landscape construction projects, including soil preparation, planting, and installation of landscape features
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and system adjustments for ongoing service quality
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems and landscape equipment
• Experience with lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction machinery such as excavators
• Knowledge of horticulture principles to promote healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints related to irrigation layouts and landscape design
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system repairs and maintenance tasks
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
