Job Description:

The IT Assistant will provide day-to-day technical support to ensure smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and IT equipment. The role involves troubleshooting hardware/software issues, assisting users, and supporting basic IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff for computers, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Troubleshoot network, internet, email, and system-related issues
  • Assist in maintaining IT inventory, licenses, and documentation
  • Support data backup, antivirus updates, and basic cybersecurity practices
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
  • Ensure proper functioning of Wi-Fi, LAN, and basic networking
  • Assist in system upgrades and new user setups
  • Provide on-site and remote IT support as required
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1–2 years of relevant IT support experience (fresh candidates may also apply)
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, basic networking
  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and IT peripherals
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of servers, firewalls, and CCTV systems
  • Experience in hospital or NGO IT environments
