IT Help Desk Technician

Part-Time Helpdesk Technician (Onsite)
Location: Central Florida
Hours: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday
On-Call: 1 week a month

Position Overview:
We are seeking a positive and motivated Part-Time Helpdesk Technician to join our team. This onsite role involves providing remote and in-person support for our clients' IT needs. You will handle helpdesk tickets via phone, chat, and email, and occasionally interact with clients dropping off or picking up devices for repairs and installations. There are also opportunities for hands-on fieldwork as your skills develop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote and onsite support for computer, networking, server, and software issues.
  • Take ownership of support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage Exchange Online mailboxes and Microsoft 365 tenants.
  • Provision new computers and assist with software installation.
  • Build and configure custom computers, servers, and virtual machines.
  • Configure servers, firewalls, access points, switches, and other devices.
  • Troubleshoot and support VOIP (PBX) systems.
  • Manage Cyber Security software and review weekly reports to determine remediation (backup logs, antivirus reports, phishing attempts, infected devices).
  • Create and follow technical documentation.
  • Maintain security and privacy standards across networks and systems.
  • Organize and maintain shop inventory.
  • Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with virtual machines and remote desktop support.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
  • Experience using any Professional Services Automation (PSA) or Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.
  • Associate degree or current enrollment in an IT-related field.
  • Relevant hands-on IT experience.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay is $14.00 per hour.
  • Pay increase available after the 90-day training period upon demonstrating proficiency in all training requirements.
