POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Administrator serves as the cornerstone leadership position within Information Technology department, responsible for overseeing the company’s core IT infrastructure and driving the strategic direction of technology operations across all locations. This role combines hands-on technical management of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and endpoint security platforms with the critical responsibility of building and mentoring the IT team — including direct supervision of the Software Administrator. The IT Administrator will architect and implement SCIM infrastructure through Microsoft Entra ID to enable seamless identity provisioning across the organization’s growing technology ecosystem. A central mandate of this position is the design and deployment of a comprehensive IT ticketing system that establishes standardized processes for incident management, service requests, and escalation workflows.
This is a remote job with 7pm - 4am PKST timings.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Microsoft 365 & Cloud Infrastructure
- Administer and optimize the full O365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams across all locations
- Manage Outlook email distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and mail flow rules to ensure efficient communication across departments
- Configure and maintain Teams groups, channels, policies, and guest access settings to support cross-functional collaboration
- Oversee Azure tenant management including resource groups, subscription governance, and cloud security configurations
- Architect and manage Active Directory structures and implement SCIM provisioning infrastructure through Microsoft Entra ID for automated identity lifecycle management across integrated applications
Endpoint Management & Security
- Deploy, configure, and manage NinjaOne RMM across all company endpoints to ensure real-time monitoring, automated patching, and remote remediation capabilities
- Administer Bitdefender GravityZone endpoint protection platform including policy creation, threat analysis, and incident response coordination
- Plan, schedule, and execute server updates and patch management cycles with minimal disruption to business operations
- Lead the implementation and rollout of Controlio monitoring software in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements
Hardware & Provisioning
- Manage remote hardware assignment and provisioning workflows for new hires, role changes, and offboarding across all locations including Houston, California, and New Jersey
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset tracking documentation
- Develop standardized device configuration profiles and imaging procedures
IT Service Management & Leadership
- Design and build a comprehensive IT ticketing system using internal tools to standardize incident tracking, service requests, and resolution workflows
- Serve as primary owner for Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with end users
- Directly supervise and mentor the Software Administrator, providing guidance on SaaS platform management and SCIM integration priorities
- Collaborate with the CEO and Systems & Integrations Administrator to align technology initiatives with business objectives
- Establish escalation paths and SLA frameworks to ensure consistent, measurable IT service delivery
PROCESS DEVELOPMENT & CONTINUOUS OPTIMIZATION
Develop, document, and continuously refine IT policies, standard operating procedures, and runbooks for all managed systems. Conduct regular audits of system configurations, security postures, and user access rights to identify optimization opportunities. Lead quarterly reviews of IT infrastructure performance and present recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3+ years of experience in IT administration with demonstrated leadership or team management responsibilities
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID / SCIM configuration
- Hands-on experience with RMM platforms (NinjaOne preferred) and endpoint security solutions (Bitdefender or equivalent)
- Proven ability to build IT ticketing systems, helpdesk workflows, and service management processes from the ground up
- Experience with server patch management, group policy administration, and Windows Server environments
- Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of creating clear, comprehensive technical documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and collaborate across all organizational levels
Preferred
- Experience in multi-site IT operations, preferably in distribution, logistics, or energy sectors
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, MS-102, SC-300, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Entra ID and related software’s.
- Experience implementing SCIM/SSO integrations across diverse SaaS ecosystems
- Background in IT service management frameworks (ITIL foundations preferred)
