IT Manager

Position Overview

A leading organization in Oman is seeking a highly experienced IT Manager to lead its technology strategy and enterprise IT operations.

The role will oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, digital transformation, educational technology integration, and enterprise systems across multiple locations. The successful candidate will ensure the effective use of technology to support operational excellence and enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Leadership

• Manage and optimize the group-wide IT strategy aligned with organizational goals and educational innovation.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and learning experiences.
• Provide strategic technology guidance to executive leadership.

IT Infrastructure & Operations

• Oversee the management and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and security systems.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all IT services across multiple campuses.
• Lead IT service management and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Educational Technology

• Lead the management, implementation and support of educational technology platforms, learning management systems, and digital learning tools.
• Work closely with academic leadership to enhance technology-enabled teaching and learning.

Enterprise Systems & ERP

• Manage and optimize school ERP systems, CRM platforms, EdTech systems, Cloud systems.
• Ensure integration and automation across enterprise systems.

Cybersecurity & Governance

• Manage and optimize IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity policies, and compliance standards.
• Manage and optimize business continuity and disaster recovery strategies to protect organizational data and systems.

Project & Vendor Management

• Lead major technology implementation projects across the organization.
• Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
• Oversee procurement processes including RFPs, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations.

Budget & Resource Management

• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investments in technology.
• Optimize IT resources and maintain financial accountability for technology initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the IT team across multiple locations.
• Promote professional development, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in education or multi-site organizations.
• Proven experience managing enterprise IT operations and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting multi-location environments with large user bases.

Technical Expertise

• Enterprise IT infrastructure and architecture
• Cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS or equivalent)
• ERP and enterprise management systems
• Cybersecurity frameworks and IT governance
• Network infrastructure and systems administration
• Data analytics and reporting systems

Pay: RO1,500.000 per month
