IT Officer

Job Summary:

The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support, managing hardware and software systems, ensuring network security, and supporting employees with day-to-day IT-related issues. The role also includes system monitoring, troubleshooting, data backup, and assisting in the implementation of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain network systems, internet connectivity, and server performance.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and resolve technical faults promptly.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
• Ensure regular data backups and system security measures are properly maintained.
• Install and update antivirus software, operating systems, and applications.
• Support ERP, HRMS, attendance, and other business software systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors for IT equipment maintenance and procurement.
• Maintain IT inventory records including laptops, desktops, licenses, and accessories.
• Ensure cybersecurity policies and IT procedures are followed within the organization.
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms, video conferencing, and office IT infrastructure.
• Prepare IT reports and documentation when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in IT support or system administration.
• Good knowledge of networking, hardware troubleshooting, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Windows, antivirus systems, and basic server management.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of firewall and network security systems.
• Experience with cloud services and backup solutions.
• Understanding of CCTV, biometric, and access control systems is an advantage.
