IT Officer (Night Shift-Bahria Town Phase 7)

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled IT Officer to manage and maintain the entire IT infrastructure during the night shift. This includes network administration, internet bandwidth management, user support, and system monitoring. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, resolving technical issues promptly, and ensuring system stability in a fast-paced BPO environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Systems Management

• Provide real-time technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, printers, and operating systems.
• Monitor system performance, perform backups, and apply updates or patches.
• Maintain IT inventory and ensure proper documentation of hardware and software usage.

Network Administration

• Manage and monitor the entire office IT network infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
• Monitor internet bandwidth and implement usage controls to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot network issues including LAN/WAN connectivity, DNS, and IP conflicts.
• Set up VLANs, port forwarding, static IPs, and implement remote access rules.
• Prioritize critical systems like CRM platforms or VoIP using basic QoS settings if needed.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection

• Enforce cybersecurity protocols and monitor for unauthorized access or threats.
• Manage antivirus software, firewall rules, and regular data backup procedures.
• Ensure that all systems and users comply with internal security and data protection policies.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain accurate logs of technical issues, resolutions, and configuration changes.
• Prepare shift-end handover reports for the day-shift IT team.
• Liaise with internet service providers and vendors when necessary for maintenance or troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT support and network management, preferably in a BPO environment.
• Strong understanding of Windows-based systems, LAN/WAN networks, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with router/firewall configuration and internet traffic monitoring tools.
• Ability to work independently, especially during off-hours or minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with MikroTik, Cisco, Ubiquiti, or similar networking hardware.
• Experience using tools like PRTG, Zabbix, or other network monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of remote desktop tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer) and basic scripting is a plus.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar are advantageous.

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
