Job Purpose
Provide support on IT Operations-related activities and ensure that all required systems for the users are available to be utilized on a uninterrupted basis and all processing is carried out in a secure and professional manner as per the bank’s IT security policy.
IT Operations

Monitor and handles effectively the bank’s overall IT systems and network so as to minimize response time and maximize efficiency.

Liaise with Technical support team and vendors to ensure that necessary technical support is continuously and efficiently and provided IT services are up and running.

Perform routine monitoring of all IT systems and regular backups.

Ensure proper accessibility definition and granting of privileges to the Bank’s IT system administration.

Ensure proper support and escalation to the various Bank departments and vendors when moving new services or systems to production.

Handles the data centre and minimize service down time. While ensuring sufficient data centre capacity by way of regular maintenance and upgrades.

Ensure that physical security is maintained via controlled accesses to IT Datacentre

Handles all pending IT tickets and open calls on a weekly basis and coordinates to team leaders and respective personnel for resolution.
Data Processing

Maintain back-ups of the entire system in order to recover information when required.

Perform end of day processing for all systems.
Disaster Recovery / User Protocols

Administer protocols for disaster recovery, ensuring facilities are in place to protect the bank’s data and to enable the bank to recover business processing in the event of a disaster or emergency.
Customer Service

Deliver consistently high levels of customer service and deal with customer queries effectively, escalating complex ones to the appropriate channel.
MIS and Reports

Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate functional statements and reports to meet functional requirements, policies and standards.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information system, Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years relevant IT experience in System Administration (Windows / UNIX).

Experience in the banking sector is preferred.
