IT Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
The IT Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities for information technology categories, including hardware, software, cloud services, and IT consulting. This role executes sourcing strategies, prepares and manages RFPs, negotiates vendor contracts, and ensures compliance with procurement policies and government regulations. The IT Buyer partners closely with Project Managers, Legal, Cybersecurity, and Risk Management to ensure business requirements are met while delivering cost savings, efficiency, and value to the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process requisitions of mid- to high-level complexity for IT goods and services.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, leveraging RFPs, competitive bidding, and market intelligence.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with IT vendors, ensuring favorable pricing and risk mitigation.
• Manage full contract lifecycle, including drafting, execution, renewals, amendments, and closeout.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate technical Scope of Work and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Track supplier performance, resolve issues such as pricing discrepancies or delivery delays, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
• Contribute to diversity and sustainability procurement goals.
• Prepare Board approval paperwork for high-value requisitions and ensure timely completion of approvals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of sourcing and contract management experience, preferably in IT procurement.
• Strong understanding of RFP processes, IT vendor landscape, and contract law.
• Proficiency in ERP purchasing systems and procurement software.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple requisitions, and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
