IT Specialist (Power International Holding)

Job description:

An IT Specialist at Power International Holding is responsible for maintaining IT systems, supporting users, and ensuring smooth technology operations across the company.

Core responsibilities:

1. IT support & troubleshooting

Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support to employees

Diagnose and fix:

Hardware issues (PCs, laptops, printers)

Software problems

Network connectivity issues

Respond to user requests via phone, email, or onsite support

2. System & network management

Install, configure, and maintain:

Operating systems (Windows environments)

Servers and user accounts (Active Directory)

Manage:

LAN/WAN networks

Routers, switches, Wi-Fi systems

Ensure system performance and uptime

3. Infrastructure & security

Monitor IT infrastructure (servers, storage, cloud)

Maintain:

CCTV systems

Biometric access and attendance systems

Implement backups, recovery, and security controls

Support cybersecurity and access management

4. Maintenance & upgrades

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

Install updates, patches, and new systems

Upgrade hardware and software when needed

Ensure systems are optimized and up-to-date

5. Documentation & improvement

Document IT issues, solutions, and procedures

Analyze recurring problems and improve systems

Recommend new technologies to improve efficiency

Support IT projects and digital transformation initiatives

Requirements:

Typical qualifications:

Degree in:

IT / Computer Science / Information Systems

Skills in:

Networking (LAN/WAN, routers, switches)

Windows Server, Active Directory

Troubleshooting hardware & software

Knowledge of:

Cloud (e.g., Azure – basic level)

Experience:

Usually 2–5+ years (mid-level role)

Pay: From QAR17,500.00 per month
