IT Systems Administrator

Job description:

Baitussalam Welfare Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting of IT systems, printers, networks, and resolving hardware and software issues efficiently. This role requires strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, and the ability to independently address various IT-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on systems and peripherals.
• Manage and troubleshoot printers and other office equipment.
• Maintain and configure networking equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.
• Implement and maintain firewall configurations and policies.
• Provide support for end-users and resolve technical problems.
• Procure IT inventory and equipment from reliable vendors.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-4 years of proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Experience in managing firewalls and implementing security policies.
• Ability to independently manage IT projects and tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
