Role Purpose
To ensure proper maintenance, safety, and smooth functioning of all equipment, utilities, and facilities by carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and civil works.
- Attend to breakdowns and emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair machinery, tools, and equipment as per safety standards.
- Monitor utilities such as power, water, gas, and ensure efficient usage.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required.
- Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and service records.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory requirements.
- Identify potential issues and report major repairs to the supervisor.
- Support new installations, renovations, and equipment commissioning.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and civil maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of safety practices and use of PPE.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant trade preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in maintenance (restaurant, hotel, factory, or commercial setup preferred).
Working Conditions
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Physically fit to handle maintenance tasks.
Performance Indicators
- Equipment uptime and timely closure of breakdowns.
- Adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Safety compliance and minimal incidents.
- Proper documentation and reporting.
