JOINERY DRAFTSMAN/DETAILER

What You’ll Do:

• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
• Design and Drafting: Create detailed joinery drawings and technical specifications using CAD software. You’ll be responsible for ensuring designs are precise, accurate, and ready for production.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and production teams to understand design concepts and transform them into clear, workable plans.
• Material and Hardware Selection: Assist in specifying materials, finishes, and hardware that align with design goals and project budgets.
• Quality Control: Ensure all drawings meet company standards and client requirements. Attention to detail is critical to ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Project Coordination: Work with project managers and production teams to make sure that the designs are implemented smoothly, adhering to timelines and project specifications.
• Problem-Solving: Address any design challenges or issues that arise during the design and production stages, providing effective solutions to ensure projects stay on track.

Key Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in joinery design/drafting (experience in the interior design or construction industry is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of CAD software, especially AutoCAD or similar.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and fabrication processes is a bonus.
