Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Joinery Manager to lead and oversee all joinery operations for our interior fit-out projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the joinery workshop and site installations, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, timely delivery, cost control, and strict adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee full project operations from concept to completion, ensuring joinery and fit-out works are delivered in line with approved designs, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Prepare, manage, and follow up on authority submissions, approvals, permits, and all required project documentation in compliance with UAE regulations and client requirements.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, progress, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with contractual, quality, and safety standards.
- Lead and coordinate site activities between design teams, procurement, factory/workshop, subcontractors, and site execution teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- Manage client communication by providing regular progress updates, attending coordination meetings, addressing concerns, and ensuring expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify, assess, and resolve on-site challenges, technical issues, and design clashes to maintain project schedules and quality benchmarks.
- Review, coordinate, and validate technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with design intent, approved samples, and construction feasibility.
- Oversee procurement activities, supplier coordination, material submittals, approvals, and delivery schedules to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Supervise joinery production and on-site installation works, conducting regular quality control inspections during manufacturing, finishing, and fit-out stages.
- Ensure all joinery and fit-out works meet approved mock-ups, samples, and workmanship standards prior to installation and handover.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, foremen, and site teams to ensure productivity, workmanship quality, and compliance with company policies and HSE requirements.
- Prepare and monitor progress reports, lookahead schedules, method statements, inspection checklists, snag lists, and handover documentation.
- Report project status, risks, delays, and corrective actions clearly and accurately to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Carpentry, Joinery, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 4 to 5 years of proven experience in joinery management within interior fit-out companies.
- Strong experience handling high-end residential, commercial, retail, or hospitality projects.
- Solid knowledge of wood types, finishes, hardware, fittings, and joinery manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Experience working in the UAE market is mandatory.
