Horizon Tech is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior HR Officer to join our dynamic HR team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in core HR functions across multiple divisions, including BPO, IT, and Software Development. You will support day-to-day HR operations, contribute to employee engagement initiatives, and assist in key administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records, databases, and personnel files.
- Support onboarding activities: prepare documentation, facilitate orientation sessions, and ensure accurate completion of new hire paperwork.
- Assist with HR documentation related to employee life cycle events (e.g., promotions, transfers, terminations).
- Help plan and execute employee engagement programs and workplace culture initiatives.
- Address employee queries with professionalism and a timely follow-up.
- Shadow HR team members during employee relations meetings to learn about conflict resolution and engagement practices.
- Contribute to payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate data handling.
- Draft HR letters, reports, and internal communications.
- Support the creation of presentations on HR initiatives, updates, and policy changes.
- Assist with the implementation and review of HR policies, procedures, and compliance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in final year) in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6 months to 1.5 years of HR experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of HRIS platforms is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
