Junior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with strong retail industry experience to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records across multiple entities within the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with daily bookkeeping tasks.
• Process journal entries, accounts receivable/payable, and bank reconciliations.
• Handle invoice processing, payments, expense claims, and petty cash.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
• Maintain organized financial documents and support audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and Qatar regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Retail industry experience is mandatory.
• Must be locally available in Qatar with a transferable visa/NOC.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in a holding/group of companies structure is an added advantage.
