Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general accounting tasks while also managing some interactions with the Social Insurance Office. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting Tasks:

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the Senior Accountant in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related calculations.

2. Social Insurance Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the Social Insurance Office.
  • Register new employees with the Social Insurance Office and ensure timely submission of required documents.
  • Update employee records with the Social Insurance Office for changes such as promotions, salary adjustments, or terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with social insurance laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all social insurance transactions and correspondence.
  • Provide employees with information and support regarding social insurance benefits and claims.

3. Administrative and Compliance Tasks:

  • Maintain organized and secure filing systems for financial and social insurance documents.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Stay updated on changes in social insurance laws and accounting standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

Experience dealing with the Social Insurance Office or similar government agencies is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Knowledge of social insurance laws and regulations is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Office-based role with standard working hours.

Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods

Will have occasional visits to the Social Insurance office upon need.

Job Type: Full-time
