Job Summary

The Junior Architect will support senior architects and project teams in the design development, construction documentation, and site coordination of building projects. The role involves preparing drawings, assisting with approvals, coordinating with consultants, and supporting site execution to ensure design intent is met.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Documentation

• Assist in preparation of architectural drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details)
• Develop working drawings and construction drawings as per project requirements
• Support preparation of BOQs, specifications, and material schedules
• Revise drawings based on senior architect, client, or site feedback

Construction & Site Coordination

• Assist in coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and consultants
• Conduct site visits to check drawings vs execution
• Support in resolving site-related design issues
• Ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications

Coordination & Approvals

• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants
• Assist in preparing drawings for statutory and authority approvals
• Maintain drawing registers and document control

Software & Tools

• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD / Revit (BIM exposure preferred)
• Assist in 3D modeling and basic visualizations (SketchUp, Lumion, etc.)
• Maintain project files and documentation as per office standards

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is an advantage)
• Understanding of building codes and standards
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under guidance and meet deadlines
• Willingness to visit construction sites

Preferred (Optional)

• Exposure to BIM workflows
• Internship or site experience
• Knowledge of local building bye-laws
