Junior Assistant Freight Forwarding Operation Officer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Assistant Freight Forwarding Operation Officer to support our logistics and freight forwarding team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in freight operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to assist in managing day-to-day shipments effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipment Coordination Support:

Assist in arranging transportation of goods by air, sea, and land, selecting optimal routes and carriers while ensuring timely delivery.

• Document Management:

Prepare and process shipping documentation such as bills of lading, customs declarations, invoices, and other related paperwork.

• Communication & Coordination:

Maintain regular contact with clients, carriers, agents, and customs to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure shipment integrity.

• Data Entry & Record Keeping:

Accurately enter shipment data, maintain tracking records, and ensure that all documents are organized and up to date.

• Problem-Solving:

Assist in identifying and resolving logistical issues such as shipment delays, customs clearance, or documentation discrepancies.

• Follow-Up Tasks:

Monitor the completion of shipping processes and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the logistics cycle.

• Invoicing & Payments:

Support the finance team by preparing freight invoices and helping with payment processing.

• Inventory Management (as needed):

May assist in tracking and managing inventory related to logistics operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the freight forwarding field in Qatar
• Strong understanding of shipping and freight forwarding processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve shipment-related issues
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications (MS Office, logistics software, etc.)
• Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus

Preferred Candidate:

• Based in Qatar and available for immediate joining
• Familiar with Qatar customs regulations and clearance procedures
• Has experience coordinating with shipping lines, airlines, and transport service providers
