Junior Engineer- Quantity Takeoff

NCRi Solutions is looking for a Junior Engineer- Quantity Takeoff for one of the biggest Conglomerate clients based in UAE who provides critical offshore support to the Projects Team through accurate quantity take-offs, measurements, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation. This role ensures precise cost verification, procurement support, and effective project monitoring by transforming technical drawings and specifications into actionable data.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from various formats, including 2D drawings and models, to facilitate project execution and cost tracking.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Bills of Quantities based on verified drawings.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to validate that actual installed quantities align with billed amounts.
• Monitor material consumption trends and highlight any cost deviations based on actual site usage.
• Provide essential data inputs for forecasting and cost-to-complete assessments.
• Maintain updated document registers, including quantity trackers, schedules, and BOQ lists.
• Ensure all quantification and reporting comply with project commercial procedures, cost control standards, and internal audit requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of commercial dashboards, quantity tracking sheets, and internal logs.
• Provide online support during audits, inspections, or official visits by ensuring project records are immediately available and organized.
• Implement systems for the efficient retrieval and traceability of project documents.
• Proactively improve knowledge of project-related software as preferred or proposed by clients.
• Regularly interacts with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and the Procurement/Commercial departments.
• Provides necessary information and support to clients, consultants, suppliers, and specialist vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputed institution.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CostX, Planswift, and other relevant quantification tools.
• Expert knowledge of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience

• Minimum of 6–8 years of professional experience.
