The Position
We are seeking a skilled Junior Systems Administrator to manage, operate, and evolve our hybrid IT environment. The role involves hands-on administration of Microsoft Azure, on-premises infrastructure, and helping with migration initiatives from on-prem to cloud. The ideal candidate has strong systems administration fundamentals, automation mindset, and experience operating production environments.
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of Windows OS administration (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
- Understanding of Azure services, such as: Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps
- Understanding of Windows Server Roles and networking fundamentals
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
- Exposure to Git and version control practices
Responsibilities
- Provide support to R&D and DevOps teams in a primarily Windows/Azure environment
- Respond to issues in DevOps pipeline for daily build and release deployment activities
- Communicate and Handle DevOps process for Code Cut-off, Source Code Versioning, Release Management
- Apply service release updates and coordinate with product team for emergency issues
- Assist in maintaining user access in Development, QA, and Demo Environments to ensure development process meets compliance
- Troubleshoot operating system and network issue
- Ability to work with our Solution Architect to provide coverage during Contour + North American working hours
