Role Summary
The Account Executive (AE) owns the sales conversation and the deal-closing Account Executive (AE) owns the sales conversation and deal closing
process. AEs take qualified leads from SDRs, run discovery calls,
present solutions, handle objections, and close new business.
This role is revenue-driven and directly responsible for hitting sales
targets.
Key Responsibilities
Run discovery and qualification calls
Understand client goals, challenges, and decision criteria
Present tailored solutions and pricing
Manage the full sales cycle from first call to close
Handle objections and negotiations
Coordinate with Sales Engineers when technical expertise is needed
Update CRM with deal progress and forecasts
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Deals closed
Revenue generated
Close rate
Sales cycle length
Forecast accuracy
Ideal Skills
Strong consultative selling skills
Confident communicator
Experience selling B2B, SaaS, or high-ticket services
Ability to manage multiple deals at once
