KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to support our sushi chefs and kitchen staff. The Kitchen Assistant will help with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth kitchen operations in a sushi restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist sushi chefs with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients).
• Wash rice, prepare sushi rice, and assist in the preparation of seafood and other sushi ingredients.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients, especially seafood.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
• Support chefs and staff with any other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service is a plus, especially in Japanese cuisine or sushi.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,000.00 per month
