Kitchen Assistant

Dos Chris’ Bakery & Charcuterie Co. is now accepting applications for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team! Our primary focus is to deliver our famous Sparkle (kindness) through top-quality bakery items visually, in taste, and continued consistency. We are looking for friendly and engaged people who have a passion for helping and spreading kindness!

Minimum Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Detail oriented
• Ability to work fast in a busy environment/kitchen
• Ability to work with other team members and support the kitchen team in any capacity
• Ability to take initiative and and complete tasks to support the kitchen and team
• Ability to read and follow recipes
• A drive and passion for creativity
• Organizational skills
• Experience with inventory
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Food handler’s certification
• Familiar with a commercial kitchen
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Clean hygiene
• 1 year experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen
• Culinary experience or training in the food industry is a plus

Shifts:

• Shifts begin at 6am and end at 3pm Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Job Duties:

• Dishwashing
• Vegetable and fruit preparation
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Maintain and assist in cleaning the kitchen
• Maintain our high standards for flavors and visual standards of our products
• Create and contribute to weekly bakery flavors
• Assist bakers with cupcakes and cake preparation as well as any additional bakery tasks
• Assist with keeping inventory
• Uphold and contribute to our team atmosphere
• Maintain health code regulations and hygiene while handling food items properly, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent spoilage
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: $15.00 per hour
