Lab Staff in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Qualification : Diploma / any other electrical background candidates can apply

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Laboratory Preparation & Maintenance

• Prepare laboratory setups and equipment before experiments or practical sessions.
• Ensure all instruments (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, multimeters, etc.) are properly calibrated and functional.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in the laboratory.
• Keep an updated inventory of laboratory tools, components, and consumables (resistors, capacitors, ICs, wires, etc.).
• Perform routine inspection, servicing, and minor repairs of lab equipment.

2. Support for Teaching & Research

• Assist faculty members in conducting laboratory sessions, experiments, and demonstrations.
• Guide and support students in performing practicals safely and correctly.
• Provide technical assistance in research and project development activities.
• Help in the design, development, and testing of experimental setups or circuits.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during laboratory work.
• Educate students on safe handling of electrical/electronic equipment and hazardous materials.
• Report accidents, equipment failures, or unsafe practices immediately to faculty/authorities.
• Maintain compliance with institutional, national, and industry safety standards.

4. Administrative & Documentation Tasks

• Maintain records of laboratory usage, damaged/faulty instruments, and consumable stock.
• Assist in procurement of laboratory equipment, tools, and components by preparing requirement lists.
• Keep logbooks of equipment issue/return by students and staff.
• Update laboratory manuals and documentation as per curriculum or technology updates.

5. Professional Development & Teamwork

• Stay updated with new equipment, software tools, and methodologies in electrical and electronics engineering.
• Attend training workshops for skill enhancement.
• Work collaboratively with faculty, students, and other technical staff.
• Support departmental activities such as workshops, seminars, technical events, and exhibitions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
