Job Summary:
The Land Surveyor will be responsible for conducting accurate land and site surveys, verifying construction layouts, and ensuring compliance with approved designs and specifications. With more than 10 years of experience and UPDA certification, the role supports supervision and planning staff in delivering precise site measurements, monitoring progress, and resolving surveying issues to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out topographic, boundary, and construction surveys in line with project requirements.
- Verify setting out of works performed by contractors to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Maintain accurate survey records, as-built drawings, and data logs.
- Coordinate with site supervision and planning staff to support progress monitoring and project reporting.
- Prepare survey reports, sketches, and digital data for submission to the project team.
- Check alignment, levels, and dimensions of constructed works against project requirements.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies and site-related surveying issues.
- Use modern surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, Auto Level) and related software to produce accurate results.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and authorities regarding survey-related approvals and inspections.
- Support planning staff with progress measurement and as-built data for project records.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Land Surveyor in supervision or construction projects.
- UPDA/MMUP certified (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of surveying methods, site monitoring, and construction supervision.
- Proficiency in surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, Auto Level) and software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS preferred).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of local authority requirements and procedures is an advantage.
