Landscape Crew Leader

Position Overview:

We’re hiring an experienced and dependable Landscape Crew Leader to lead one of our lawn maintenance crews for the upcoming landscape season. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the field, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining efficiency and professionalism on every property.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage a crew, operate equipment confidently, and represent Dragonfly Farm LLC with professionalism on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a lawn maintenance crew on residential and commercial properties.
• Perform and oversee weekly lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup.
• Ensure all properties meet company quality standards and are completed efficiently.
• Operate commercial equipment including stand-on mowers, walk-behinds, trimmers, blowers, and trucks/trailers.
• Train and guide crew members to improve performance and maintain safety standards.
• Communicate with management regarding schedules, property conditions, and any issues on-site.
• Maintain organized trucks, trailers, and equipment; report maintenance needs as necessary.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in landscaping and lawn maintenance required.
• Previous crew leader or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of lawn care practices, equipment operation, and property maintenance standards.
• Ability to lead a team, stay organized, and keep jobs on schedule.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work full days outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required (ability to tow trailers preferred).
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods.

Compensation:

• Pay: $28–$35+ per hour depending on experience and leadership ability.
• Performance-based bonuses and incentives available.

• Consistent hours during the landscape season with year-round employment opportunities including snow operations.
