Part-Time Landscape Designer (Hourly – $35/hr)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will focus on designing residential (and occasional commercial) landscape projects, including plant layouts, bed designs, and overall property enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Create landscape design plans based on client needs and site conditions
• Develop planting plans, including trees, shrubs, and perennials
• Produce visual concepts (sketches, digital renderings, or plans)
• Collaborate with our team to ensure designs are practical and install-ready
• Meet with clients when needed to discuss design ideas and revisions
• Incorporate company-preferred plant material and design standards

Qualifications:

• Experience in landscape design (formal education or proven work experience)
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, PRO Landscape, or similar) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of plant materials suitable for the Midwest climate
• Ability to create clean, professional, and buildable designs
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience working with landscape contractors
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, or hardscape elements
• Ability to create 3D renderings or client presentations
