Landscape Foreman

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate a landscaping crew to complete projects efficiently, safely, and to high standards of quality
• Oversee landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, pruning, planting, irrigation system installation and repairs, and general gardening activities
• Manage landscaping construction projects from start to finish, including site preparation, planting, hardscaping, and installation of features like patios or retaining walls
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment related to landscaping and construction tasks
• Conduct regular inspections of work sites to monitor progress, quality control, and safety compliance
• Provide guidance on horticultural practices, tree care procedures, and sustainable landscape solutions
• Lead training sessions for team members on best practices in landscaping, safety protocols, and new techniques

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping design or construction with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
• Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor environments or construction sites
• Knowledge of lawn care techniques, irrigation systems, tree care, gardening practices, and general landscape maintenance
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
• Familiarity with landscape equipment operation and maintenance
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, suppliers, and team members
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
