  • Sort soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items by color, fabric, and degree of soil.
  • Load and operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to established standards and procedures.
  • Add appropriate cleaning detergents, softeners, and other chemicals in correct proportions.
  • Fold and stack linens, towels, and garments neatly for proper storage and distribution.
  • Use pressing and ironing equipment as necessary to ensure wrinkle-free laundry.
  • Inspect cleaned items to ensure they meet hotel standards (free from stains, damage, or missing items).
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and linens, reporting shortages to the supervisor.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and storage rooms with freshly laundered items as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, such as the number of loads washed, damaged items, and any special guest laundry requests.
  • Provide laundry and dry-cleaning services for guests as requested.
  • Handle guest laundry with care, following special instructions for delicate items or special fabrics.
  • Prior laundry experience: Usually, 1-3 years of experience in a laundry environment is required.
  • Technical knowledge: Familiarity with laundry equipment and processes.
  • Problem-solving: Experience in resolving operational issues.
  • Customer service: Experience in handling customer inquiries and complaints.
