Technical Positions – Job Descriptions

1. Home Appliance Technician

  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identifying the root cause of appliance malfunctions.
  • Repair and Replacement: Fixing or replacing defective parts and components using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Testing and Verification: Ensuring proper functionality after repairs.
  • Customer Communication: Explaining repairs and offering maintenance recommendations to customers.
  • Maintenance and Knowledge: Maintaining a strong understanding of appliance specifications and guidelines, including staying up-to-date on new technologies and methods.
  • Installation: Installing new appliances.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and preventative measures to extend appliance life.

2. Kitchen Equipment Technician

  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and install commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, refrigerators, and other appliances.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve problems with kitchen equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and work orders.
  • Installation: Install new equipment and ensure proper wiring and settings.
  • Collaboration: Work with other maintenance staff, kitchen staff, and management to address maintenance issues.

3. Laundry Technician

4. Chiller Plant Technician – Electrical

Chiller Plant Operation:

  • Operate and monitor the chiller plant equipment, including chillers, pumps, and associated electrical components.
  • Control and adjust system parameters to maintain optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Electrical Systems Maintenance:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical components of the chiller plant.
  • Troubleshoot and address electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Electronic Controls Management:

  • Monitor and adjust electronic control systems governing the chiller plant.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other electronic systems to ensure proper functionality.

Emergency Response:

  • Respond to emergency situations promptly, such as power failures or equipment malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures related to electrical work.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and operational parameters.
  • Generate reports on the performance and status of the chiller plant for supervisory review.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with other members of the facilities management team, including HVAC technicians and engineers, to ensure seamless operation.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of scheduled maintenance activities.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay informed about advancements in chiller plant technology and electronic control systems.

5. Chiller Plant Technician – Electronics

  • Maintain electronic controls and automation systems of chillers
  • Diagnose faults in sensors, PLCs, and controllers
  • Calibrate and test system components
  • Support system optimization

6. ELV Technician (Extra Low Voltage)

  • Install, configure, and maintain ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and alarm systems.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and repairs on ELV equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.

7. Structural Cabling Technician

Installation:

  • Operate AV equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and digital displays.
  • Coordinate and support tele-medicine and video conferencing sessions forremote consultations, including setup, connection, and troubleshooting.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions during events.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to solve any network-related issues impacting AV functionality.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical assistance to hospital staff, speakers, and presenters on AV equipment and software usage.
  • Train end-users on AV systems, including virtual meeting platforms, presentation controls, and video conferencing tools.
  • Documentation and Inventory:

9. Senior Electrician – Control Wiring

  • Perform control panel wiring and troubleshooting
  • Interpret electrical drawings and schematics

10. Multi-Skilled AC Technician
