Responsibilities

• Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers to ensure a neat and healthy appearance
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, trimming, pruning, and planting to enhance curb appeal
• Operate hand tools and power equipment like shovels, rakes, blowers, and hedge trimmers safely and efficiently
• Assist with irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure optimal watering of plants and turf
• Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth
• Help with hardscape projects such as installing pathways, patios, or retaining walls using appropriate tools and techniques
• Participate in seasonal tasks like snow plowing or de-icing to keep outdoor areas safe during winter months

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment and power tools for proper operation and maintenance
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is highly desirable
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques including planting, pruning, and soil preparation
• Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely in various outdoor tasks
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic horticulture principles to support plant health
• Understanding of construction practices related to hardscape installations or outdoor structures
• Ability to perform tree trimming, tree care, and general gardening duties with precision
• Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols when handling equipment like excavators or other construction machinery
• Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues on diverse outdoor projects
