Job Description: Lead Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Wapda Town, Lahore

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Electrical Design Engineer to oversee the design and execution of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design team, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions for LV/MV systems, power distribution, lighting, and low-current systems.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Electrical Design & Engineering

• Design of LV, MV power distribution systems
• Load calculations, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination
• Preparation of single-line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings
• Familiar with standards like IEC, NEC, and local regulations

Project Leadership

• Led multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale projects
• Managed full project lifecycle: concept → design
• Coordinated with clients, consultants, and contractors

Regional Experience

• Saudi Arabia: Experience with SBC,Aramco/SEC standards
• Pakistan: Experience in commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors

Software & Tools

• ETAP / EPLAN / AutoCAD Electrical
• Dialux for lighting design
• MS Project / Primavera (planning & scheduling)

Compliance & Standards

• IEC, IEEE, NEC
• Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (if applicable)
• Local authority approvals and documentation

Typical Responsibilities

• Leading electrical design reviews and technical decisions
• Ensuring design compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Preparing BOQs, specifications, and technical reports
• Supporting procurement and construction teams
• Troubleshooting and optimizing system performance

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for building/infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in LV/MV systems and building services design.
• Proven experience in leading design teams and managing projects.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/other analysis tools (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
