Lead Preschool Teacher (Full-Time)

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood program in a co-teaching classroom environment. This position works alongside another Lead Teacher to design and implement a high-quality preschool program that supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development while fostering curiosity, creativity, and independence.

Position Summary

The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for partnering with a co-teacher to plan curriculum, guide classroom practices, and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. The ideal candidate values collaboration, strong communication, and shared leadership in the classroom.

Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a co-teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom community that supports children’s social-emotional growth
• Observe and document children’s learning and development
• Provide positive behavior guidance and support individual learning needs
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s development and classroom activities
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and program policies
• Participate in staff meetings, training opportunities, and program initiatives

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Previous experience as a preschool teacher strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative co-teaching model
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements for lead teachers
