Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and special education, with a focus on creating inclusive and engaging learning environments for all students. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering the growth and development of each child.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance educational experiences and support various learning styles.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Foster literacy education through engaging activities that promote reading and writing skills.
  • Support children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs through tailored instructional strategies.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.

Skills

  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
  • Experience in curriculum development tailored for diverse learners.

  • Background in working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
  • Proficiency in early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math, literacy, physical education.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health strategies to support student well-being.
  • Experience working in daycare or private school settings is beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
